Guest Session on Project Management for MBA Students

Embark College organized a guest session for MBA students on 25th November as part of the module
Advanced Project Management. The session was delivered by Mr. Rishabh Thapa, Project Lead at Daraz,
and was designed to provide students with practical insights into project management within fast-paced
and technology-driven organizational environments. The session aimed to connect advanced project
management concepts with real-world execution and industry practices.

Mr. Thapa shared his professional experience managing projects at Daraz, offering students an overview
of how large-scale projects are planned, coordinated, and delivered in an e-commerce context. He
emphasized the importance of clear project objectives, stakeholder alignment, and effective
communication in ensuring project success. His discussion helped students understand how project
management frameworks are adapted to meet organizational goals in dynamic business settings.
The session explored key aspects of advanced project management, including project planning, risk
management, and performance monitoring. Mr. Thapa discussed how project leads balance timelines,
resources, and quality while responding to changing requirements and operational challenges. Practical
