Merry Melodies

On 23 December 2025, Embark College managed to host a successful event, Merry Melodies, a night of music, laughter and celebrations of the community and creativity. The event was hosted at the Embark College premises in Yala Sadak, Pulchowk, and began at 6:00 PM and witnessed a strong attendance of over 100 students, as well as some outside guests. The programme was one of the most interesting and effectively handled events of the year with a perfect mix of entertainment and cozy atmosphere of the season.

Merry Melodies was planned to be a celebratory cultural night to end the year and present students with a common area to relax, bond, and celebrate outside the classroom. This intention was perfectly reflected in the atmosphere of the venue. The space was filled with cozy lighting, holiday decorations and a high-energy stage, which instantly created a festive atmosphere. This feeling of excitement and anticipation were felt throughout the evening since the moment the attendees walked into the event.

The show included two big attractions including live music and stand-up comedy which are both received superbly by the audience. The live music part, which included Kushal Sunuwar, got the mood of the evening going on with soulful music that captured the hearts of both students and guests. His music was very immersive and the audience wanted to participate, sing to the music, and enjoy the act. This performance was full of energy and emotion and was the best match as an opening act of the evening.

The stand-up comedy show by Apoorwa Kshitiz Singh was another entertainment aspect that was introduced to the event after the musical shows. His audience received unending applause and laughter, the actor was able to make a connection with the audience through the relatable humor and keen observations. The comedy session was refreshing and made sure that the levels of energy were maintained throughout the programme. This interplay between the performer and the audience also increased the whole experience resulting in making the evening both memorable and inclusive.

The high level of community that was created by the Merry Melodies was one of its most impressive features. Students in various programmes and intakes united and engaged themselves with each other freely and external guests who had been invited to join the jambo. The event also gave students a chance to form networks outside their academic groups which further strengthens the vision of the Holistic student engagement and the campus life at Embark College.

It was also an indication of well-planned and coordinated activities on the part of the organizing committee that led to the success of the event. Handling of every aspect of the event, be it stage management and sound arrangement, coordination of crowds and time management, was professionally done. The flow of the programme was smooth and did not create unnecessary breaks that would keep the audience entertained. The volunteers and staff members were actively seen, and it added to the overall efficiency and a positive experience of the evening.

The reviews of the participants were literally positive. The event was characterized by many students as fun, refreshing and one of the best on-campus events that they had ever attended. The warm hospitality, well-organized programme and the enthusiastic participation of the students were also enjoyed by foreign visitors attending the event. Other than entertainment, Merry Melodies was an encouragement to the student to maintain some balance in life. Such events are crucial in building the culture of the campus, improving the welfare of the students, and giving students a sense of belongingness in the academic society.

To sum it up, Merry Melodies was a fantastic achievement that manifested the dynamism, imagination, and teamwork of Embark College. This event achieved a unique impression on all those in attendance due to its entertaining performances, good administration and attendance. Not only did it promote the festive season, but it also earned the vision of Embark College, which is the creation of a vibrant, inclusive, and enriching student experience. The memories formed in this evening will certainly be preserved by both the students and the guests and will be a high standard to gauge other campus events in the future.
