Yatra 2025 - By Echo Circle - Embark College

Yatra 2025, a student-led event organized by Echo Circle, a student club, was held on a Saturday, 15 November 2025, and invited students, faculty, and participants to spend a morning together in movement, connection, and personal development. Being structured as a combination of physical activity and social learning, the event was expected to make students leave their usual routine, interact with each other, and learn about the significance of social skills in personal and professional environments.

The program was started in the early morning and the participants were all assembled in the college premises at 6:30 AM. The day began on a hot and refreshing tone of tea and coffee being served to all those who were present. This introductory meeting provided a warm atmosphere to the event whereby those involved got to relax with each other in a free manner before the actual activity.

The special program of the event was a run starting at Patan Dhoka to Patan Durbar Square and concluding at the college, which officially started shortly after. The familiar but culturally rich route provided the participants with a fresh beginning of the day. No one was rushing or jogging, but strolling, according to their own speed, which created the spirit of support and friendship. The run was not created as a competitive event but rather as an experience where the individuals would challenge themselves and also help those who surround them. Such Unionism was apparent all along the route, as students cheered one another on, and experienced the early morning peacefulness of the metropolis.

When the participants went back to the college, they were offered a hearty breakfast which was organized to assist them in refueling up after the run. Breaking of breakfast was also an important period to make small talks. It gave numerous people a chance to exchange their running experience, celebrate the effort of each other, and make new contacts between various batches and groups.

After the morning breakfast, the event shifted to the learning process, which was a question and answer session with Ravi Mainali, a renowned business and leadership coach. The theme of his session was Building Social Skills, which was specifically chosen with a particular aim of Yatra, namely, the enhancement of interpersonal communication and self-awareness in a community context. By using personal examples and self-reflection questions and methods, Mr. Mainali was able to make students interested in discussing the role social skills play in leadership, teamwork, and personal confidence. The session was interactive which made the people express their opinions, ask questions and examine their patterns of communication. This aspect of learning made the event interesting because it connected physical activity to social and emotional growth.

The visitation session was followed by a small yet fun introduction activity in the terrace after the guest session. This was a segment to enable the attendants to familiarize with each other outside of circles that they knew. Students were able to communicate with other students of different backgrounds and share their stories and create new bonds. The exercise consolidated the greater role of the event that provided a platform in which the students felt free to start discussions and move out of their safety nets.

The organizing team came up with a row of creative and meaningful awards to celebrate the excitement and special spirit that was portrayed in the run. Awarding of certificates was done in various categories that represented different types of strength or contribution. The Early Bird Sprinter identified the participant that run the quickest and glorified perseverance and bodily endurance. Perseverance and dedication was rewarded and the last to complete the run received the Never-Stop Spirit. The Energizer recognized a person who was active and enthusiastic all the way through and boosted the energy of the group. The Social Butterfly identified someone who crossed groups and diffused positivity and interacted with a large number of members. Finally, The Conversation Catalyst rewarded the individual who introduced the most effective dialogues and promoted valuable interactions throughout the event. This consideration brought out a touch of warmth and encouragement and this made sure that all forms of effort, whether quick or slow, loud or quiet, were valued.

In general, Yatra 2025 was not only an event of a morning run, it was a holistic process that involved physical work, social education, and community construction. The event was able to provide students with a platform to mingle, learn and develop whilst having a refreshing yet meaningful start to their weekend. The zeal of the participants, the good organization by Echo Circle, and the motivational session by Ravi Mainali are also what made Yatra an unforgettable and helpful experience.
